The DCG
The inaugural drink of Dunce Cap Games and an instant classic. Make yourself one (or a few) and send us a picture!
Start with a tumbler of a couple of small ice cubes (or one big one)
Pour 1oz to 2oz of brown sugar bourbon over the ice (we recommend Heritage Distillery). Add couple of splashes of grapefruit bitters (we recommend Seattle’s own Scrappy’s Bitters). Fill the glass with a dry hard cider (we recommend Seattle Cider). Garnish with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick. Refreshing enough for summer, but also great fall flavors. You can also sweeten if too dry with a semi-sweet cider and/or rimming the glass with sugar.
Mommy's Little Helper
Chill cocktail glass in freezer for half hour or more then rim with sugar
Start by filling your cocktail shaker with ice (a lot of ice since we want this cold…)
Add 1.5oz – 2oz of vodka or gin (whatever mommy likes best)
Add 1oz of orange liqueur
Add 2oz of cranberry juice
Add 1oz of orange juice
Splash of lime juice
Cover and shake vigorously
Pour into cocktail glass
Top with either soda water or (prefer) Italian orange soda
Garnish with an orange peel twist
Blue Hawaiian - Our Take
Take a tall cocktail glass and fill with crushed ice and add:
1 oz Blue Curacoa liqueur
1 oz Vanilla flavored rum
1 oz Toasted coconut crème liqueur
2 oz Pineapple juice
Add a maraschino cherry and/or a pineapple wedge on a stick.
Add a couple of dashes of citrus bitters if too sweet.
You can also just serve on the rocks, serve without ice by shaking over ice in a cocktail shaker, or add drink ingredients and ice into a blender for a frozen drink. Another variation is to use less pineapple juice and add a splash of vanilla.
