Com-Pet-Ability is the pet adoption matching game for all ages. Match five animals that are Com-Pet-Able with each other and take home the win, with dogs, cats, birds & turtles. And, the elusive unicorn!

Object of Com-Pet-Ability:
The object of Com-Pet-Ability is to find five animal characters who are Com-Pet-Able so you can take them home and win the hand! Each Animal Character has its own personality and traits that make them more, or less, Com-Pet-Able with other Animal Characters.
A player needs to get five completely Com-Pet-Able Animal Characters in their hand to make the adoption and end the round! Play multiple rounds to keep the game going, adding more points as you go!
2+ Players, up to 6 Players/Ages 7+ (but see rules for younger players).
Game Play:
Shuffle cards well & deal five cards to each player.
Place deck in middle of group.
Take top card and flip over setting next to deck, creating a “shed” pile.
Pick who goes first, we like to use “the youngest goes first”.
The player draws a card either from the shed pile or the deck and tries to match the pets in their hand to get 5 pets that are com-pet-able with each other.
The player must “shed” a card at the end of their turn, holding no more the 5 pets at one time.
Each character card has three icons near the bottom to aid in identifying potential matches.
A red icon means the character can never be matched with that type of pet that matches the icon. Example: A red cat icon means that a character cannot be Com-Pet-Able with any cats.
A yellow icon means the player will have to be careful matching the character to that type of pet that matches the icon.
A green icon means the character can be placed with any of that type of pet that matches the icon.
A player should examine the icons and character bio’s to figure out how they are Com-Pet-Able with other characters in their hand.
The play continues the next player in a clockwise turn order. The next player can either choose to draw from the deck or the “shed” pile. This continues for each player.
Once a player has five Com-Pet-Able characters, they may lay their hand down at the start of their next turn & win that round.
The winner of the round gets a bonus 10 points.
Each player adds up their total Com-Pet-Able character points (top right hand corner of character card), shedding those who don’t match.
Keep a tally for each round and find out who is the best at finding Com-Pet-Ability!
Play lots of rounds and keep score on some scratch paper.

Character Notes:
Keep your eyes out for turtles as they can be paired with everything, but don’t add any points. The hybrids can be paired with anything too, just not with turtles! The unicorn works with anything, and gives the player some fantastic, glittery points!
For Younger Players:
Have younger players try to match five of the same type, but allow them the turtles, hybrids and unicorn for added excitement before introducing them to the icon rules.
